International Dark Sky Week, which takes place from 5 - 12 April is, as its name suggests, a global affair, organised annually by the International Dark Sky Association. On this global stage, Mayo is playing a leading role, with a series of events from astronomy to archaeology, wildlife to wellbeing. Mayo Dark Sky Park will also host a special Dark Sky Tourism eveng on 9th April (Noon); aimed at engaging local business partners and those interested in developing astrotourism as an off-season sustainable tourism concept in Mayo.
