Boat in Dark Sky

    Groups & Tours

We offer free services to all interested groups. We have special programmes available and we can tailor visits to suit requirements. This could involve talks, walks and indoor and outdoor activities.

    1. We offer OUTREACH service to community groups about the effects of Light Pollution and the simple measures you and your community can take towards reducing its effects.

    2. VISIT US IN BALLYCROY for a Guided Tour of the visitor centre site and learn about Mayo Dark Sky Park.

    3. Explore the night with National Park Education guides? We offer activities such as Bat Walks, Moth Trapping Sessions and Night Time Wildlife Walks.

    4.  Book a Talk on Mayo Dark Sky Park, Stargazing Session or Dark Sky Walk with our Dark Sky Development Officer.  Conditions for stargazing are weather dependent.  The best time to enjoy the night skies is in the winter months (outsider of peak season).
